This dude can count his lucky stars!
An adrenaline junkie had a very lucky escape when he decided to go shark swimming with just a flimsy budgie cage for protection.
Shaun Harrington, 27, was filming the ‘extreme cage-diving’ stunt in the sea off Coolangatta on Australia’s Gold Coast when it backfired spectacularly.
The footage shows the daredevil putting the cage over his head before asking a friend: ‘I’ll be alright, eh?’
‘Yeah mate, no worries, they don’t have real big teeth,’ the friend replies.
However, just moments after jumping into the water a 2.4-metre tiger shark gets a little too close, forcing Mr Harrington to fend off the killer fish with the cage. He then scrambles back into the boat.
‘It was heavy – it scared the s*** out of me and I thought I was a goner,’ he explained.
